FAITH COMES BY HEARING!
By Evangelist (Zee) Zorina London
Faith comes by hearing, by hearing the Word of GOD. Yes! That is absolutely true!
But, did you know there’s GOOD Faith, and there’s BAD Faith! Let me explain
what I mean when I say, there’s good faith and there’s bad faith. I discovered
years ago, there are a lot of people believe it or not, many of them are in the
Church, who believe they have little, or no faith. But actually they have a lot
of faith! The problem is, they’re putting their faith in the wrong people, and
the wrong things!
For instance, I know people that absolutely hate their jobs, and want to quit! But
they have convinced themselves, or, allowed someone else to convince them, they
won’t find a better job if they leave the one they have; and they may not be
able to find another job, so they had better stay where they are. Now this
person believes they don’t have any faith, and that’s the reason they won’t
even try to get another job. But you see they
don’t realize they have a lot faith! (1) They have faith that they won’t
find a better job, so they shouldn’t even try (2) They are convinced they must
except being miserable for the rest of their life (3) They believe GOD must not
care about them because He won’t GIVE them the faith they’ve been praying for.
Friends, that’s Strong faith! But that’s Wrong faith!
Here are a couple more examples:
(A) If and abusive person is constantly telling you, you’re nothing, and how stupid
you are, they tell you you’re ugly, that nobody cares about you, then they say
this, “You’ll never make it without me, I don’t need you, but you need me!” You
hear them tell you these lies over, and over again, for days, some times for
years, (which was my case)! Well, faith comes By hearing, right? Now you’ve started believing all those awful lies!
Without realizing it, you have put your faith in the abuser, and the abusive
things they say to you! Now your spirit is broken, you start believing it, and
now you’re saying it about yourself! Again, that’s Strong Faith, but it’s Wrong
Faith! It’s negative, crippling, destructive faith! Parents, please be careful
(better yet prayerful) not to teach your children to have this Wrong Faith.
It’s so easy to do! A mother tells her son
“You’re just like your father, a loser! A father tells a daughter “You’re just
like your mother, a tramp, and that’s all you’ll ever be! Now obviously these
parents have been abandoned, or hurt, by their spouse for them to say such
awful things to their child, and sometimes-hurting people, hurt people. BUT
THAT’S NO EXCUSE! It’s irresponsible, selfish, and cruel! You’ve heard it said,
you are what you eat; well, what you hear is what your spirit
eats! Eat good food and be healthy, eat bad food and become very unhealthy, and
eventually die if you don’t change your diet.
(B)When I was a child my parents, my older sisters and my older brother, taught my younger brothers and I to believe in Santa
Clause. They told us he was the one that gave me all my pretty dolls, their
expensive bicycles, and other wonderful toys, in some cases the beautiful
clothes I prayed to Santa Clause for, (it wasn’t called praying, but actually
that’s exactly what it was!). We would write a letter to Santa telling him all
the things we were hoping and believing for. Parents would tell their children
(some still do) that Santa knows when they were bad, or good, so they had
better be good. That means, they were telling us Santa was all knowing, like
GOD! We tried to make sure we were good little boys and girls because Santa was
watching; he sees everyone, and he knows everything! I put my faith in a
rosy-cheeked fat old man, with a long white beard, wearing a red and white
night cap with a matching red and white suit that looked like pajamas, driving
a sleigh in the sky with reindeers pulling his sleigh! Oh yeah, I can’t forget
this, his lead reindeer (whose name was Rudolph) had a red shiny nose that lit
up the sky so that Santa could see through the snow storms and darkness! They
all lived in happily in the North Pole, where little elves with pointy ears
made all the toys for boys and girls all over the world. In one night this
little old, fat, white bearded man, in red pajamas was all Powerful (like GOD!)
he could visit the homes of all the children in the world … IN LESS THAN 24
HOURS!
Just like JESUS fed the five thousand with two fishes and a loaf of bread, Santa had a bag that never ran out of toys! His toy
bag stayed full of toys until every child had been visited and had toys and
candy under their tree! The ones that didn’t have a tree to put presents under,
he would pull a Christmas tree out of his Miraculous Toy Bag, set it up in
front of the fire place and leave toys under it! WOW…! Santa Sounds like a god
doesn’t he? He sounds Omnipotent, Omnipresent, and Omniscient … but it’s
a lie! Santa is simply an Idol parents unknowingly teach their children to put
their faith in, and worship! In a way… Santa is… an Antichrist! That’s the hard
truth! You’re probably laughing hysterically right now, thinking what’s the big
deal? … Believing in Santa Clause is harmless! But actually, it isn’t harmless,
and it really isn’t funny at all! Why I do I say that? Well, as a young child I
loved Santa with all my heart, so it broke my little heart, and destroyed my
faith, when they told me Santa was a fake! Believing in Santa Clause caused me
to doubt the existence of JESUS CHRIST! It also taught me that grown ups lie!
Let me explain, for at least ten years I was told Santa Clause was a real
person, he was kind, and loving to all children, he just wanted you to be good
little children, to respect your parents and teachers, do all of our chores and
all your home work. I also had to believe in him with all of
heart… JUST LIKE JESUS! When they
finally told me Santa was not a real person, he was a fake, I thought to
myself, JESUS was probably not be a real person either, that he was a fake
to!
I figured if they told me about Santa at age of ten,
then they would tell me about JESUS when I was twelve…. then thirteen…. then
sixteen! At the age of seventeen, I graduated from high school, within the next year at the
age of eighteen I went into “Show Business”, never knowing how real
JESUS was! Since I was afraid to put my faith in JESUS, because he was probably
a fake (that’s what I believed then), I didn’t have a personal relationship
with him. I did things I’m sure I
wouldn’t have done; if I had known the man JESUS I loved so much as a child was
real! That He really was the Son of GOD, not a fake, like Santa! Parents,
please, please, in the name of JESUS stop lying to your children at the same
time expecting them not to grow up and become liars! Santa Clause, Rudolph,
Frosty, the Easter Bunny, the Tooth Fairy, and all the others lies parents tell
their children, are an abomination to GOD!
The Power to have Faith…YOU’VE GOT IT! Do you know you have everything you need? Yes! GOD has put
everything you need, inside of you, and on this Earth for you! GOD wouldn’t
create a bird and tell it to fly, and not give it the ability to fly, now would
He? No! Therefore GOD would not say,
“You must have faith”, and JESUS wouldn’t tell you that “Faith is the
only way to please GOD”, without giving you the ability to have Faith, now
would He? No, of course not! Since Faith is the only way to please Him, our loving
Father has surely equipped us with the ability to have not just Faith, but
Strong Mountain Moving Faith (Matthew 21:21)! Faith comes by hearing right? Think about
this, God gave us two ears, but one mouth… could it be that He wants us to
listen twice as much as we speak? Often Christians spend their whole prayer
life telling GOD their problems, what they need, what they want Him to do, or,
questioning His judgment. They either forget to listen for GOD’S Wisdom and
Advise, to guide and direct them, or they just don’t know the importance of
listening. Faith comes by hearing, and by hearing the Word of GOD!
I will leave you with these words; there’s strong faith, and there’s wrong faith, which
do you have? Or do you have both, “Strong but Wrong” faith? Only you can
answer this, and please, be very honest with yourself, with GOD. That’s the
only way you can make a change, if a change is needed. You must acknowledge it (Confess
it) before GOD, and start using the Faith He gave you, to please Him! It is
written, ”Faith is the only way to please GOD!” (Hebrews 11:6).
